Media & Links

This page has been created to allow you access to the bands recent radio appearances and eventually (we hope) TV, film & music award appearances... well... why not...  We've also now got some links in here too!   Mmmm... links...

The first two links below are of the live recordings from our two local radio appearances:
(Please support your local radio stations as it is they that promote local bands
like The Alibi and contribute massively to your local live music scene)

This radio play took place on 20th February, 2009.  The interviewer, Geoff Dorsett, very kindly allowed us some fantastic airtime for which we all greatly appreciate.  Geoff held a telephone interview with Aus at 9:30pm for over 15 minutes and aired two of our original tracks. Thanks again Geoff, you're a star!

This radio play took place on 17th August, 2008.  The interviewer, Xan Phillips, also very kindly allowed us some fantastic airtime playing 'Wasted Nights' and also gave us some great plugs throughout his show during that evening.  Thanks Xan, yours was our first radio appearance (you always remember your first!)  Original FM was superseded by The Coast FM

On Monday 13th July 2009, Tony Amey and 17 crew, will set off from Wick in Scotland, for the Arctic Circle, aboard the Alba Endeavour.  The aim is to successfully sail to the Lofoten Islands, off the West Coast of Norway and return home safely in Peterhead, on Friday 24th July 2009.  Proceeds from the Arctic Challenge will go towards funding adventure under sail for young people with Ocean Youth Trust Scotland, the country's national sail training charity. See more info here

Please support Tony with this fantastic venture and check out the charity gig
The Alibi and some massive names are involved with too at Mr Kyps on 21st May, 2009!

Well, what can we say about this band?  It contains five cheeky chaps, who may look very familiar to those followers of the Alibi cult...  Remember Ocean Colour Scene?  Remember the early/mid 90's?  (I was too young myself... ahem).  These 'identical twins of the sacred Alibi' boys have found a little niche with their cover act called Ocean Cover Scene - clever play of words, or just something which seemed like a good idea at the time?  Who knows, but check out the website and you might just be impressed!

Ian Munro is a local photographer from Dorset in the UK.  Ian spent most of his life in the music business performing across the world with various bands including 'Marmalade'.  It was a great pleasure to meet Ian in 2008 and since then he has been extremely supportive of the band - look forward to seeing you again soon Ian.  Check out his work here or click the logo to the left - very impressive!
