Band History
The Group were formed in the mid 90’s by Dylan Brown and Sean Mathews, whilst studying together at the same university. Both from Bournemouth, the pair returned and decided to make a go of it. After a few changes here and there, The Alibi as we know it soon became one of Bournemouth’s hottest bands, playing all the top venues, and gaining a strong following. With Sean’s departure to Australia in the summer of 2001, the band recruited Kev Marshall. Packing balls and a hell of a lot of talent, the band grew in a matter of months to become tighter, and gain a much more distinctive sound. After a period of hibernation, and more reshuffling The Alibi arrive at today. With Sean Mathews back in the spotlight, and Lee Webb brought on board on the bass guitar, The Alibi are back, and ready to rock.
